12 mars : le salon doré au Palais Présidentiel de Carthage, le président de la République a présidé une cérémonie de lever du drapeau tunisien. Au cours de cette cérémonie, Moncef Marzouki a décoré l'étudiante Khaoula Rchidi et lancé un message à toute personne qui touche au drapeau " symbole d’un peuple musulman ". La semaine dernière a été marquée par les incidents qui ont eu lieu à la faculté de la Mannouba. La jeune étudiante, Khaouala Rchidi, décorée de l'ordre de la République, était émue : "Je n’ai pas réfléchi, je regardais ce qu’il était en train de faire et j’ai tout de suite réagi. Je suis gafsienne et j'ai le sang chaud. C'est peut être pour cela que j'ai intervenu. Notre drapeau est cher, il ne faut pas ne négliger". Après le discours, l'hymne national a été chanté avec beaucoup d'émotion par les personnes présentes. Khaoula Rchidi a ensuite été accueillie dans le salon doré et décorée par le président : "Ce qu'elle a fait est exceptionnel, elle a défendu la Tunisie. C'était la force morale face à la force physique" a-t-il avoué. L'étudiante membre de l'UGET, Amel Aloui, qui a été agressée durant les incidents de la faculté de la Mannouba, a également rencontré Moncef Marzouki et a été applaudie par les présents.
