Egyptian-style amulets made of silica paste. Intricately crafted, they are often used as pendants for necklaces and are found by the dozens in the richest tombs. Whether imported from Egypt or made locally, they are believed to possess magical powers that protect life, and after death, they watch over the soul of the deceased.
