A funeral procession for a victim of police violence passed through downtown Tunis, from the Passage to Habib Bourguiba Avenue, joining the large demonstration on Friday, January 14, in front of the Ministry of the Interior on Habib Bourguiba Avenue. As these peaceful demonstrators passed by, the police gave the order to fire tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd. Meanwhile, former President Ben Ali was fleeing the country.
