January 21, 2011: Demonstration on Kasbah Square in front of the gates of the Prime Minister’s Office; the people, united as one, demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Ghanouchi; this demonstration saw a spontaneous movement among police officers, some of whom decided to join the people in protesting while apologizing for all their actions during Ben Ali’s police state.
