January 22: Police strike and demonstration in front of the Ministry of the Interior, demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Friaa and the creation of a police union. A large number of police officers met with the public and tried to explain their situation under Ben Ali’s regime, asking for forgiveness for all the abuses committed against the people.
