January 29: Families of the revolution’s martyrs attended the first major political rally held by the PDP (Progressive Democratic Party) since Ben Ali’s departure, at the “La Coupole” sports arena in El Menzah, in the presence of rapper El Général, Bouaziz’s mother, and the party’s leader for the upcoming presidential elections, Ahmed Nejib Chebbi, who currently serves as Minister of Regional and Local Development in the transitional government.
