January 25: A portrait of Ben Ali is burned. Third day of protests by the Caravan of Liberation in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. Residents of southwestern Tunisia are maintaining their sit-in day and night, and some are even going on hunger strikes. Tents are set up in front of the government buildings, and demands are posted on the walls of Government Square. For them, there is no question of leaving until the current transitional government purges ministers who are too loyal to Ben Ali.
