José Manuel Barroso met with Mr. Foued Mbazaa, Tunisia’s interim president, at the Presidential Palace in Carthage during his visit to Tunisia on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. He traveled to Tunis to lay the groundwork for cooperation “contingent” upon halting illegal immigration to Europe and to support Tunisia’s political and democratic progress since the Revolution.
