June 18, 2011: Imed Brahim, leader of the Ettajdid Party. The Modernist Democratic Bloc is organizing its first rally at the Palais des Congrès in Tunis. This rally aims, on the one hand, to publicize the bloc’s principles and objectives and, on the other hand, to provide an opportunity for the parties and initiatives that are members of the bloc to speak during the event: This event is part of the Modernist Democratic Bloc’s participation in the Constituent Assembly elections, for which the bloc will present joint slates aimed at drafting a modernist democratic constitution. Ettajdid Movement, the Socialist Party of the Left, the Patriotic and Democratic Labor Party, the Movement of Democratic Patriots, the Republican Alliance, the Arab Democratic Vanguard Party, the Citizenship and Justice Movement, and the Voice of the Center.
