July 21, 2011: Chebbi, Jridi Boujjafar, and Brahim led the citizens’ march organized by the Tunisian democratic parties in Tunis. In response to attempts to sow chaos in the country and overthrow institutions born of a national consensus, the signatory parties called on citizens to participate in a national march this Thursday. This march is organized by the following liberal parties: PDP, Ettajdid, Afek Tounes, Al Wifek Jomhouri, PSG, La Voie du Centre, and the Movement for Citizenship and Justice. The march is taking place with the main leaders of the political parties at the forefront—the first time they have come together in a single demonstration.
