December 1, 2011: Yadh Ben Achour came to support the protesters amid fears that Ennahdha would seize excessive power. Demonstrations and sit-ins took place at the Bardo, across from the National Assembly. The night before, a small group of about a hundred people—including both Doustourna activists (fighting against the centralization of power) and young people from Gafsa (opposing the SPG civil service exam and fighting against unemployment)—set up their tents along the parliament’s fence.
