March 9: Meeting with Mr. Moncef Marzouki, President of the Republic since December 13, 2011, at the Presidential Palace in Carthage. In the palace’s basement, upon his arrival, the President discovered a series of rooms where Ben Ali had stored, right on the floor, mementos, gifts, paintings, and sculptures from the Bourguiba era, as well as a vast collection of photographs and documents. All of these artifacts from the past have been handed over to you for the creation of a major Habib Bourguiba museum in Monastir.
