June 16: In the front row were Kamel Morjane, Ahmed Brahim, Taieb Baccouche ... Beji Caied Essebsi officially announced the creation of the political movement “Nidaa Tounes” (Call of Tunisia) in a packed convention center. During his speech, the former prime minister stated that the current government cannot, on its own, break the country out of its deadlock. When announcing the launch of the new party, Beji Caied Essebsi stated that its goal was to bring everyone together for the good of the country. He also insisted that Article 1 of the former constitution be retained.
