March 29, 2013: A highly tense standoff and minor clashes between pro-rebellion Syrians (three-red-star flag) and Tunisian activists from the pro-Bashar al-Assad Bass Party, with pro-Palestinian demonstrators in the middle brandishing a fake corpse in the central square of the WSF on the final day of the World Social Forum meetings on the Tunis university campus. This first forum held in the Arab world was strongly marked by Arab nationalist demands and observations, and dominated by a constant tribute to and support for the Palestinian people.
