May 12, 2013: Significant security measures were in place around the courthouse for the trial of the three Femen activists at the Tunis Court of First Instance. The trial was underway for the three Femen activists who had come from France and Germany to stage a topless protest two weeks earlier. Having been in custody for two weeks, they were sentenced to 4 months and 1 day in prison without parole.
