August 6, 2013: At the seat of the assassinated lawmaker Mohamed Brahmi, wreaths, his portrait, and a national flag were displayed during the Assembly’s first session since the assassination of lawmaker Mohamed Brahmi. The plenary session began with a lengthy tribute to the martyr, featuring prayers and speeches in the presence of the members of parliament—with the exception of the 57 who were absent—as well as the Prime Minister and the ministers of the Interior and Defense, who outlined the situation in the country in their speeches.
