August 6, 2013: Tears were shed among Nahda lawmakers during the tribute to Mohamed Brahmi at the Assembly’s first session since the assassination of Representative Mohamed Brahmi. The plenary session began with a lengthy tribute to the martyr, featuring prayers and speeches in the presence of the deputies—with the exception of the 57 who were absent—as well as the Prime Minister and the ministers of the Interior and Defense, who outlined the situation in the country in their speeches.
