October 5, 2013: Protests broke out during Houcine Abassi’s second speech at the signing ceremony for the roadmap at the Tunis Convention Center, marking the start of the National Dialogue in the presence of the three presidents and under the leadership of the UGTT union. Four weeks of negotiations on the roadmap, which calls for the formation of a non-partisan government and the adoption of an electoral calendar by the end of the month.
