October 24, 2013: A demonstration by just over a thousand supporters of the ruling Islamist party Ennahda took place on Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis to honor the martyrs and show support for their party during this period of political crisis and the difficult start to the national dialogue. The next day, Prime Minister Ali Larayedh announced his resignation, and the National Dialogue began in the hope of reaching a national political consensus.
