January 23, 2014: Ibrahim Gassas, a deputy elected on the Popular Petition list, protested against the inclusion in Article 6 of a ban on incitement to apostasy. From January 3 to 23, members of the National Constituent Assembly reviewed, amended, and voted on the Constitution article by article. After several very lively days, the members voted on the final articles that evening; all that remained was the formal vote scheduled for the following day.
