By a vote of 149 out of 193 voters—or 77 percent—Mehdi Jomaa secured the National Constituent Assembly’s approval for his cabinet following heated debates marked by great suspense. The day had begun early for the 21 ministers and 7 secretaries of state, most of whom were experiencing the National Constituent Assembly’s headquarters and its turbulent atmosphere for the first time.
