September 8, 2014: The first international appearance by the new French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Matthias Fekl—who was bluntly appointed to replace Thomas Thevenoud—at the conference “Investing in Tunisia: Start-Up Democracy,” organized by Tunisia and France and attended by representatives from numerous countries. During the conference, Tunisia presented 20 major investment projects across several sectors, including new technologies, renewable energy, industry, tourism, and trade.
