October 16, 2014: Samir Taieb, a member of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) and the lead candidate on the Tunis 1 list for the Union for Tunisia (UPT) party in the legislative elections, campaigning at the Kabaria market. Kabaria is one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Tunis; social tensions and grievances are widespread in these neighborhoods, where residents are often disillusioned with politics. Grassroots outreach has the merit of giving them hope and convincing them to go to the polls.
