March 29, 2015: Tunisian President Béji Caïd Essebsi and several high-ranking foreign officials joined the “anti-terrorism” march organized in Tunis on Sunday at midday in response to the attack on the Bardo Museum. Tens of thousands of Tunisians are participating. “A big salute to the Tunisian people, who have proven that they will not give in to terrorism. Thank you to everyone, and I say to the Tunisian people: Forward! You are not alone,” Essebsi declared. François Hollande and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, as well as Gabonese President Ali Bongo and his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, took part in this procession of officials near the museum. This official procession wound its way along the perimeter of the complex housing the Parliament and the Bardo Museum, the site of the March 18 attack in which 22 people were killed. The politicians then unveiled a memorial bearing the names of the victims.
