June 26, 2015: Doctors and firefighters remove the last bodies from the hotel’s indoor spa pool. Terrorist attack at a hotel in the Port El Kantaoui tourist area north of Sousse. A young Tunisian terrorist opened fire for nearly half an hour on tourists, from the hotel beach all the way to the reception area, leaving a preliminary death toll of 39 among tourists and Tunisian employees, before being shot dead by security forces. The Tunisian Ministry of Health states that among the injured are people of British, Belgian, German, and Norwegian nationalities, among others.
