November 26, 2015: Nabil Ayouch arrives under heavy security. As part of the JCC (Carthage Film Festival), the Arab-African Film Festival in Tunis, the first screening in a Muslim country of the film “Much Loved” by Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch took place. Two days after the terrorist attack on a presidential police bus just a few hundred meters from the JCC’s movie theaters, the screening of “Much Loved” became a double challenge. JCC Director Brahim Eltaief and Nabil Ayouch were determined to keep the screening on the schedule, along with the rest of the festival’s program. The theater filled with more than a thousand film enthusiasts eager to meet Nabil Ayouch and see the Arabic-language premiere of this excellent film, which portrays the reality of Moroccan sex workers with raw honesty and great talent. The screening was followed by a press conference.
