Two days after the terrorist attack on a presidential police bus just a few hundred meters from the JCC movie theaters, the screening of “Much Loved” became a double challenge. JCC Director Brahim Eltaief and Nabil Ayouch were determined to keep the screening on the schedule, just as they did for the rest of the festival. The theater filled with more than a thousand film enthusiasts eager to meet Nabil Ayouch and see the Arabic-language premiere of this excellent film, which candidly yet masterfully portrays the reality of Moroccan sex workers. The screening was followed by a press conference.
