July 25, 2016: Ahmed Seddik, member of parliament for the Popular Front. Hundreds of Tunisians gathered in front of the historic headquarters of the UGTT and once again demonstrated on Monday, July 25, on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis against the controversial bill providing for theamnesty for individuals prosecuted for corruption offenses in exchange for a financial penalty. This so-called “reconciliation” bill was proposed last year by President Béji Caïd Essebsi to “improve the investment climate” in an economically devastated country and has just been submitted to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People. In addition to the young people from the collective, the Popular Front (left) participated with Hamma Hammami and its representatives, as well as Mustapha Ben Jaafar of Ettakatol.
