February 5, 2017: At the call of civic groups, about 100 Tunisians gathered on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis to express their opposition to the return of Tunisian terrorists from Syria, Iraq, or Libya to Tunisian territory. Among the slogans, one sign denounced Western countries: “Tunisia is not France’s trash can; you created the Daesh fighters, so you must take responsibility for their fate”—a message also directed at the Germans, British, and Americans.
