July 27, 2019: Rached Ghannouchi, leader of the Islamist Ennahda Party, and Abdelkrim Zbidi, Minister of Defense, lead the funeral procession. A state funeral is held for President Béji Caïd Essebsi, who passed away on July 25 at the age of 92. After a ceremony at the presidential palace in Carthage, the funeral procession traveled through the capital, Tunis, to the family vault at the Jellaz Cemetery in Tunis.
