September 7, 2019: In Monastir, on the esplanade in front of Habib Bourguiba’s mausoleum, Abdelkarim Zbidi, a last-minute candidate who describes himself as independent, held his first public rally as part of his presidential campaign. After visiting Bourguiba’s grave, Zbidi addressed a crowd of 3,000 people with a 15-minute speech.
