September 13, 2019: Closing campaign rally for imprisoned candidate Nabil Karoui on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis. More than 500 supporters turned out to show their support one last time before the first round for their candidate, who remains in prison but continues to lead in the polls. Salwa Smaoui, Nabil Karoui’s wife, has been fully involved in the campaign for the past 15 days and has been stepping in for her husband throughout this grueling presidential campaign.
