April 4, 2020: The Medina of Tunis is deserted. Jamaa Ez Zitouna Street, the main thoroughfare of the Medina of Tunis and a popular tourist street, is empty, with all the shops closed during the government-imposed lockdown due to COVID-19. A curfew was also in effect during this period, from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
