December 2, 2020: At the Assembly of the People’s Representatives (ARP), Firas and Omar, from the NGO Al Bawsala, are live-tweeting transcripts of the debates in the chamber in Arabic and French. They also track members’ attendance and record each vote. Marsad Majles is the observatory of the legislative branch in Tunisia. Launched in 2012, the project monitored the drafting of the 2014 constitution for over two years and continues to monitor the work of the Tunisian parliament. The project aims to place citizens at the heart of the parliamentary decision-making process by providing them with reliable and free data on the performance of their elected officials.
