January 14, 2021: The 10th anniversary of the revolution under lockdown. Starting today, the government has imposed a four-day nationwide lockdown, thereby preventing Tunisians from commemorating the 10th anniversary of the revolution and Ben Ali’s departure on January 14, 2011. Habib Bourguiba Avenue is cordoned off under heavy police presence.
