August 8, 2021: At the El Menzah Stadium vaccination center in Tunis. Following a massive influx of international vaccine donations—nearly 6 million doses to address the COVID-19 crisis that Tunisia has been facing for the past two months—and the significant delay in the country’s vaccination rollout, a national vaccination day for people over 40 was organized today across the entire country. Tunisians responded in droves to the call, and thanks to the help of numerous volunteers, the army, the police, and healthcare workers, more than 200,000 doses had been administered by noon.
