November 25, 2017: A demonstration organized by the youth activist group “Hasebhom” to protest the proposed law on cracking down on attacks against the armed forces. Nearly 150 young people gathered in front of the UGTT union headquarters and then marched to Habib Bourguiba Avenue in downtown Tunis. The demonstration was attended by the families of young people tortured by the police, as well as blogger Lina Ben Mehnni and activist Afraa Ben Azza, both victims of police violence. The goal is to do everything possible to block this bill. According to the collective, the law violates the Constitution and infringes on civil liberties in Tunisia.
