Le tophet, est un enclos sacré punique où les Carthaginois auraient sacrifié leurs enfants aux divinités protectrices Tanit et Ba'al Hammon selon une historiographie bien ancrée mais remise en cause par certains spécialistes. Ce jardin recèle un grand nombre de stèles puniques souvent marqué du signe de Tanit.
