Entre la première marche de la nouvelle alliance politique "Union pour la Tunisie", regroupant les partis progressistes Nidaa Tounes, Al Joumhouri, Al Massar, Parti Socialiste et Parti Patriotique, et celle des partisans de Ennahdha et des Ligues de Protection de la Révolution (LPR) la tension a été au maximum mais contrôlé par un dispositif sécuritaire impotant et efficace.
