The amendment stipulates that “judges are appointed by presidential decree based on the approval of the High Council of the Judiciary. Senior magistrates are appointed by presidential decree, after consultation with the head of government, based on exclusive nominations proposed by the High Council of the Judiciary. The law shall define which positions constitute senior offices.”
