José Manuel Barroso met with Mr. Caïd Béji Essebsi, Tunisia’s interim prime minister, at the Prime Minister’s Office in al Kasbah, Tunis, during the visit to Tunisia by José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. He traveled to Tunis to lay the groundwork for cooperation “contingent” on halting illegal immigration to Europe and to support Tunisia’s political and democratic progress since the Revolution.
