June 26, 2015: Police and military security reinforcements at the hotel. Terrorist attack at a hotel in the tourist area of Port El Kantaoui, north of Sousse. A young Tunisian terrorist opened fire for nearly half an hour on tourists, from the hotel beach to the reception area, resulting in a preliminary death toll of 39 among tourists and Tunisian employees, before being shot dead by law enforcement. The Tunisian Ministry of Health states that among the injured are individuals of British, Belgian, German, and Norwegian nationalities, among others.
