August 8, 2021: A vaccination center set up in a high school in Ariana, a suburb of Tunis. Following a massive influx of vaccine donations—nearly 6 million doses—and significant delays in Tunisia’s vaccination rollout, a national vaccination day for people over 40 was organized today across the entire country. Tunisians responded in droves to the call, and thanks to the help of numerous volunteers, the military, the police, and healthcare workers, more than 200,000 doses had been administered by noon.
