Eleven young people, including one girl, set out from the Tunisian coast in late July 2020 and were lost at sea; without fuel, they drifted for 11 days—the two survivors. To save his friends, Youssef set out on foot after eight days to try to swim to an oil rig; he has been missing ever since.
