Son nom est bien sur le carnet de bord du bateau parti du part de Teboulba le 22 juillet 2020, il n'est plus sur le bateau quand celui ci est intercepté par les italiens au large de Lampedusa. depuis plus aucune nouvelle de Hamdi et une grande confusion dasn les propos du reste de l'équipage, d'abord emprisonné en Italie puis libérér et reourné en Tunisie.

Omar Hadj Amar, originaire de Ksibet, 28 ans, en aout 2020, Il a tenté de traverser vers l'italie mais ils ont été arrêtés en mer par les Tunisiens. « On peut dire sauvés parce que l’embarcation commençait à prendre l’eau ». Il passera 6 jours en prison. Aujourd'hui il a créé son projet de livreur à scooter et n'ambitionne plus de partir vers l'Europe.
